Terms of Service

1. Scope

By registering for or using Household Planner, you agree to these Terms of Service. They apply between you and the operator: Martin Kutter, Hanfgartenstrasse 36, 8626 Ottikon, Switzerland.

2. Description of service

Household Planner is a collaborative task and calendar planning tool for households. It allows users to create households, invite members, define tasks, and assign them to household members on specific dates.

3. User accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when registering.
  • You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Upload or distribute unlawful, harmful, or offensive content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the service for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

5. Content ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create in the service (task names, household names, uploaded photos). By using the service you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting the operator.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided free of charge and on an “as is” basis. We make no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or absence of data loss. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or direct damages arising from the use or unavailability of the service, unless caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence (Art. 100(1) Swiss Code of Obligations).

Note for consumers in Germany and Austria: Mandatory consumer protection provisions of German (BGB) and Austrian (ABGB, KSchG) law remain unaffected.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction for disputes with commercial users is Zurich, Switzerland.

EU consumers: Consumers habitually resident in an EU member state (in particular Germany or Austria) retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time with reasonable notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at /terms.
